Current personal projects include "The Casualties of Jazz" a rare groove salute to the music of black sabbath . The current CD entitled "Kind of Black" recorded along side longtime cohorts Chris Golden on bass and Matt Rhode on Hammond organ is an organic fresh jazz gem and has received critical acclaim . Recorded entirely in an analog format the CD was recorded and produced by J.J. Blair and has just been released in the U.S. on the bel-aire label. Aside from maintaining a busy recording and road schedule in 2005 Jimmy has set forth plans to independently release an all improvisational CD by another one of his own projects called "Apple Juice" . The entire CD was recorded live and completely improvised featuring Jimmy on drums with Zac Rae on keyboards , Joel Martin on guitar , and Jamie Danesh on bass. Be sure to check this out !
